What is Deckabridge

Deckabridge is a software application developed specifically for the Percussa AudioCubes hardware. It lets you use the AudioCubes with Deckadance, well known professional DJ software from Image-Line, the company that created FL Studio.

What can I do with Deckabridge

The software was designed with the digital DJ in mind, who primarily works with audio stored on the computer during live sets. You can read more about using Deckabridge for DJing here.

How does Deckabridge work

Up to two cubes can be connected using USB cables to a computer running Deckabridge software. No drivers needed, the software talks directly to the hardware and looks and works the same on Mac and PC. Around these cubes multiple wireless cubes can be used to generate triggers, which can control the relooper beat slicers in Deckadance.

Besides controlling the relooper, it’s possible to use the cubes’ sensors to sense distances to your hands, other cubes or any other object you might want to use. The distances can control the various effect sections of Deckadance, such as the EQ, filters, bit crusher, etc. They can also control the length of loops and the transport in Deckadance. The ranges, scaling and inversion of the  sensor signal can also be configured in Deckabridge.

For visual feedback, you can set the cubes’ colours in Deckabridge. Intensity can be set for the red, green and blue channels (4 bit per colour).

Requirements

• AudioCubes and associated software work with computers running Mac OSX 10.4 or later, or Windows XP SP2 or later. Works with Vista, Windows 7, Leopard and Snow Leopard. No drivers necessary.
• One USB 1.1 or later port is required to configure the AudioCubes.
• We recommend to have at least 256MB of RAM in your computer, 600MB free disk space (for sound libraries) and a Pentium 3 or Mac G3 or later processor.
