Mark Mosher is a musician from Colorado, USA who has been in touch with us for a while, and who is a very active AudioCubes user.

He recently released his REBOOT album and runs his own label. REBOOT is available on iTunes, Amazon, Bandcamp, Last.fm, and soon LaLa and Rhapsody. You can grab it pay-what-you will or enter $0 for Free at http://markmosher.bandcamp.com. Mark’s now putting together a live show for REBOOT, in which he’ll use AudioCubes.

After getting his AudioCubes and setting them up in his studio he told us: “I’m finding performing with Audio Cubes promotes a “right brain” cognitive shift. Thanks Bert ;^)”

Mark’s using the AudioCubes in different ways in his work. Check out these posts:

About Mark Mosher:

Mark Mosher is a professional electronic musician, composer, producer and sound designer living in Louisville Colorado just outside of Boulder.

He has over 2 decades of experience in synthesis, programming, performance, MIDI, and sampling and is now an Ableton Live artist working with a wide variety of virtual instruments.

For over 4 years, he’s been posting free original articles, videos, and digital downloads on electronic music production and sound design on www.ModulateThis.com and on his YouTube channel www.youtube.com/newechoproductions. On October 28, 2009 he released the electronica album REBOOT which is available digitally on iTunes, Amazon MP3, and as a name your price download on www.rebootalbum.com.

In 2010 Mark will be working on two new projects. First he’s putting together a live show to perform the songs from REBOOT. Second, he is designing “Live Ready” Ableton Live Packs.

In planning for these 2010 projects, Mark began searching for portable innovative visual controllers that would integrate into his laptop-based Ableton Live rig and allow him to focus on performance and not be tied to the mouse or hunched over his laptop. He selected Percussa AudioCubes and is now working with 4 cubes.

For his live performance, Mark will utilize Audio Cubes as performance controllers to trigger clips and scenes, to modulate synth parameters in real-time, and also as lighting sources that will be automated with Live clips.

In his sound design work, Mark has already started using Audio Cubes to help him sculpt presets for Ableton Live packs and for his original compositions.

Mark plans on sharing his Audio Cube insights and performances via www.ModulateThis.com

Are you in France, Germany, Spain, Italy, or Japan and are you using AudioCubes?

Would you like to help out regularly with our manuals? Or perhaps you are in a different country and would like to make and maintain a translation in your local language?

As a small company of just a few people we don’t have all the resources in house to translate the manuals from English to other languages. You can help us make the software available in more languages.

If you’d like to volunteer and join us in our mission to create fantastic software and documentation for AudioCubes, drop me a message here.

Check out this new demo about using the AudioCubes with the free OSC server and max/msp 5. In this demo, we show how a way to control patcher connections using connections between cubes. The patch connects to the cubes via the OSC server.

We just did a new version of the OSC server for the cubes. It gives you topology data, sensor data, etc. All the nice stuff we put into the MODULOR application.

We’re looking for some help testing the server. Are you using software like Max/MSP, PD or Reaktor and are you familiar with OSC (open sound control)? Do you have AudioCubes are are you considering getting some?

Drop us a note and get started …

We’ve made AudioCubes sets available with 6 and 8 cubes, together with the release of MODULOR. The software works from one to sixteen cubes, but we recommend using it with at least four cubes, to benefit from the MIDI effect and sequencing capabilities.

If you’re a professional user and really want to explore all MODULOR can do, 6 or 8 cubes is the best choice. If you’re working on an installation project for a museum or in a school where you’d like to have multiple people interact with the cubes simultaneously, a set of 8 cubes is probably what you need.

That’s why we’ve made these sets available, with a discount over buying multiple sets of 2 or 4. Visit the shop here to see the offer:
